Cinema Club in French : a unique movie night

A monthly local event for linguists and cinema afficionados alike in Durham!

Every month, I will be organising the screening of a movie in French. Each event will give you the opportunity to watch a movie chosen by others and to practise your French skills.

NEW FORMAT

For October, I decided to try something new.

The session includes the FREE screening of this month’s movie “Bienvenue chez les Ch’tits”. The screening itself will start at 7.40pm at Framwellgate Moor Community Centre.

Note, that even if the attendance of the screening is free, you do have to book your space with me via email. Once I booked your space, I will confirm it and send you a ticket to print online.

There is an option to transform a simple screening into real practice by booking your space to the optional PRE-screening discussion session which I will hold at 7pm. For 30 to 40 minutes you’ll have the opportunity to prepare for the theme, and if needs be the vocabulary that you may encounter during the movie.

There will be the opportunity to buy individual packets of crisps, popcorn and also Orangina, tea and coffee on the night. Both cash and card payment will be accepted. by cash or card.

To book your place to the free screening, simply email me at flairforfrench@gmail.com. You will receive an email from me confirming your attendance (unless the event is already full).

This option costs £5.50 (Including online booking fee) and will last between 30 and 40 minutes prior to the screening.

In the unlikely event that the evening does not go ahead due to low numbers or illness on my part, you will be given the chance to attend another session.

For those who have booked to attend the PRE-screening session, you will also be offered to attend another session or be refunded in full (minus the Stripe fee). The payment is otherwise non-refundable.
